Tehran, - Vice President and head of the Department of the Environment (DOE) Masoumeh Ebtekar stressed in Cheju, South Korea on Monday Iran's achievement in conserving water resources. Addressing the world environmental ministers' meeting, Ebtekar announced Iran's support for international initiatives to promote sustainable global development as well as combination of environmental policies with development strategies. She warned about severe climatic conditions, bio-diversity and safety, saying, "All countries should pay further attention to their common responsibility towards the world." Global environmental issues related to water, infrastructure reforms for better coordination of environmental conventions and protocols are among the topics to be discussed at the meeting.
