Tosse-e: The social desk of this daily has quoted the Russian Ministry for Rescue and Help as having predicted that earthquakes will strike four areas in Iran, including the capital city Tehran by June 12, 2004. Based on these predictions, tremors measuring up to 3.5 on the Richter scale will jolt Tehran, Zabol, Ardebeel, and South Pars.
Quick Exit website of the U.S. has in a similar vein predicted that earthquakes are likely to hit Shahmirzad and several other spots in Semnan province in north-center of Iran.
The U.S. website has also said that Tehran may be jolted by an earthquake within the next 103 days.
