NGDIR News section reported that the country’s largest mines are Located in Yazd Province that include, iron are, coal, lead & zinc and Phosphate. Yazdi people are mostly interested in mineral research/ therefore mineral research centers have been commissioned in this province.
   In this research center 154 research project are under study. The main activity of this center is implementation proposed research project of mineral units. Form the above mentioned 154 projects 22 are under implementation with about ¾ bn Rials budget. Chadormalu Mineral
   And Industrial complex has 6/ projects under implementation and has the most share in implementing projects. The Iran’s Mines and Mineral Industries Development and Renovation Organization’s specialized committee is considering 13 other projects. These projects after being approved by the committee and providing necessary budget will come into force.
