A small earthquake rattled northern Baja California Saturday but there were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
A small earthquake rattled northern Baja California Saturday but there were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
The magnitude-3.1 temblor struck at 3:58 p.m. and was centered in Mexico, about 33 miles southeast of Calexico near the community of Guadalupe Victoria, according to preliminary data from the U.S. Geological Survey.
Calexico is located in Imperial County on the U.S.-Mexico border about 95 miles east of San Diego.
No damage or injuries were reported, said a dispatcher for the Imperial County Sheriff's Department.
At least a half-dozen quakes of magnitude-3.0 or larger have hit the same area since June.
