20 earthquakes registered in Aq Qala city

An earthquake measuring 5.8 degrees on the open-ended Richter scale jolted surrounding areas of Aq Qala City in Iran`s northeastern Golestan Province Monday night.

An earthquake measuring 5.8 degrees on the
   open-ended Richter scale jolted surrounding areas of Aq Qala City in Iran`s northeastern Golestan Province Monday night. According to seismological center of Tehran University Geophysical Institute, the tremor had occurred at 22:17:31 local time (18:47 GMT) and the epicenter of the tremor was at 37.13 latitude and 54.47
   longitudes.
   Since Monday night 10 Jan.2005 to 11 jan.20 minor magnitude earthquakes have been registered in Aq qala . According to seismological center of Tehran University Geophysical Institute the biggest one has been5.8 degree and the others have been between 3.1 to 2 on the opened Richter. Up to now 63 people have been injured and some building damaged.
