Tsunami expert Andrew Moore will discuss his recent trip to devastated areas of the Indonesian island of Sumatra at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Room 302 of McGilvrey Hall at Kent State University.

Moore, a Kent State geology professor, studies sediment -- including sand and mud -- left behind after a tsunami. The deposits help scientists identify ancient tsunamis.

McGilvrey Hall is at Lincoln and Summit streets. Paid parking is available at the nearby DuBois Bookstore on Lincoln.
