Quake hits Khuzestan province

An earthquake with an intensity of 3.9 points on the open-ended Richter scale hit the city of Aghajari and its nearby villages in the southwestern province of Khuzestan Sunday morning.
An earthquake with an intensity of 3.9 points on the open-ended Richter scale hit the city of Aghajari and its nearby villages in the southwestern province of Khuzestan Sunday morning.
  
   The seismological base of the Geophysics Institute, affiliated to Tehran University, registered the earthquake at 10:04 hours local time (0634 GMT).
  
   The base recorded the epicenter of the quake at 30.68 degrees of latitude and 49.99 degrees of longitude.
  
   No report has been received on possible damage to property caused by the quake.
  
   Iran is situated on some of the world's most active seismic fault lines and quakes of varying magnitudes are of usual occurrence.
