Checkrizeh copper mine has been launched by private sector. At present, preliminary exploitation works are being carried out. This mine has a considerable amount of molybdenum. This mine commenced to work with 20 million Toman budget. It has been allocated
out of 50 million Toman exploration loan. Nine billion rials has been sent on this mine. Out of this
budget, only three billion rials have been spent on this mine in form of loan. There is a strong economic reason for exploitation, and considerable amount of molybdenum is available in this mine. Hence, financial support by the government and the Ministry of Industries and Mines is required.
This mine is 35km away from Rafsanjan. The considerable amount of copper is 3.7% in this mine.
It is one of the promising regions for copper in future. Outcrops of copper, malachite, azurite,
limonite and chalcocite massives have been reported by delegation to Kerman.
