Mineral exports reach $50m

In the past two months of the current Iranian year (March 20-May 20), Iran exported some 1,088 tons of minerals, valued at $50.6 million.

In the past two months of the current Iranian year (March 20-May 20), Iran exported some 1,088 tons of minerals, valued at $50.6 million.
   It showed 240% and 36% growth in terms of weight and value respectively. Each ton of Iranian minerals was sold 46.4 dollars in the international markets, indicating 60 percent decrease in comparison with the same period last year. Minerals comprised 36.4 percent of the total volume of non-oil exports in this two-month period. Zinc and molybdenum concentrates are two of the main exported items.
