Moderate intensity earthquake in North Andaman

A moderate intensity earthquake rocked North Andaman region of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, the Meteorological Department said here today.The earthquake, measuring 5.1 on the Richter Scale, occured at 23:42 hrs IST yesterday and was epicentred 14.0 degree North latitude and 93.4 degree East longitude, it said in a statement.
