GSI News Section- Last year, 21 sheets of 1:100,000 geology maps were prepared by experts of the geology management in Mashhad Center that is %20 of total maps prepared by GSI.
Reporting the public relations of GSI, Eng. Roshanravan, the geology deputy of Mashhad Center said: "In 2004, preparing 1:100,000 geology maps and the involved reports has been a considerable activity in South Khorasan ".
He explained that a little delay is caused in the works by financial problems although it can not be restriction in affairs development by persisting of the center management.
He stated finally: "18 sheets of 1:100,000 geological maps have been prepared by experts of the center and also prepared 3 sheets of 1:100,000 by cooperation of this management and private sector and 3 sheets only by the private sector in 2004".
