An earthquake measuring 5.9 points on the Richter scale rocked the Kamchatka Peninsula overnight to Wednesday.
  An earthquake measuring 5.9 points on the Richter scale rocked the Kamchatka Peninsula overnight to Wednesday. According to the Far Eastern regional emergencies centre, the quake’s epicentre was located in the Avachinsk Bay 120 kilometres from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The earth tremor magnitude was three points in the city. There have been no reports about casualties or destruction. The earthquake was registered at 01:20, Kamchatka time (16:20, Moscow time, July 26). The epicentre was located at a depth of 28 kilometres under the bed of the Sea of Okhotsk.
