A project has just started that aims to identify the level at which minerals can be found in the shallow depths of the inland waters.
Eng. Abedian Exploration Deputy of the Geological Survey of Iran (GSI) pointed out that explorers are most likely to find gold, titanium, chrome and iron reserves at these coasts. “These minerals may be transferred to the shores from other areas,” stated Nasser Abedian. Coastal minerals mainly come from underwater volcanoes and deposits. “Many developed countries have been long studying these certain types of minerals as they are aware of the significance of coastal and marine sources of energy in today’s life in which man feels himself more and more falling into a desperate need for newer material resources.”
