The exploration deputy of the Geological Survey of Iran cooperates about representation of exploration permit and certificate for mines.

Reporting the public relations of GSI, Eng. Seyed Moosa Razavi, manager of Industry and Mine Organization of Zanjan Province along to governor of the province visited GSI.

"The new government has activated well in the mine sector of the country after the Islamic Revolution as the mines number existing in Zanjan Province has reached nearly 1030 although there was just 1 mine before revolution"Eng. Razavi declared.

"There are 890 active mines in the province that only 1 zinc mine is in public sector and the remainders are managed by private sector".

He stated that 20 of 30 abandoned mines existing have been auctioned that will become active again after necessary activities, so; 1100 people will employ in the sector.

"Changoureh mines, copper of Abhar and gold of Mahneshan are in preliminary stages of exploration and will be completed exploration stages future".

The head of the industry and mine organization of Zanjan Province described that fortunately rank of Zanjan is very high in field of copper reserves and also has first rank in zinc resources in Iran.

"Experts of this scientific organization have facilities and useful data to develop more the mine sector of the country, therefore; administrators of our province tend to develop bi-lateral  relationships with the organization to progress economic goals and cause employment", he explained visiting GSI.

The manager of the industry and mine organization of Zanjan Province said finally that most of geology maps involved to Zanjan Province have been prepared by GSI and we hope that other geology maps be sent for us by GSI immediately.
