BNamericas reports Argentina and Chile have signed new specific cross-border protocols to facilitate the development of the Vicu?a gold and Amos Andrés copper-molybdenum projects on their frontier, ministers from both governments announced on Friday in Santiago. Vicu?a, owned by Canadian Tenke Mining’s (TSX: TNK) Argentine subsidiary Deprominsa, straddles northern Argentina’s San Juan province and Chile’s Region III. Amos Andrés, owned by Anglo-Australian Rio Tinto (LSE: RIO), lies further south in San Juan and also contains gold mineralization. Both projects are at an early stage of exploration.
