Strong earthquake jolts Taiwan
An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale rocked Taiwan on Wednesday, the Seismology Centre said, but there were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
The quake struck at 9:27 am (0127 GMT), with its epicentre 13.7 kilometres northeast of the eastern county of Taitung. It originated 36.3 kilometres under the seabed.
