Over 106,000 tons of non-oil commodities, valued at 99 million dollars, were exported from central province of Yazd during the first nine months of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21, 2005).
Head of Yazd Customs Department, Foroud Asgari, told IRNA here Monday that the exported goods showed 79 percent boost in terms of value compared to the last year figure.
He said industry sector accounted for 93 percent of the total weight and 87 percent of the total value of the exported goods.
Tiles, pistachio and pistachio kernel, tyre, molybdenum, molybdenum oxide and tar were among main products exported to 49 countries including Italy, Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Russia, Britain and Germany, Asgari added.
