OPERATIONS at one of BHP Billiton's Leinster nickel mines remain suspended following the death of a mineworker on Friday.
Mark Quinn, 32, was killed while working 900m underground at one of BHP Billiton's nickel mines near Leinster in Western Australia. He was reportedly working alone with explosives at the time.BHPB spokesman Brian Watt told MiningNews.net operations would remain suspended until the completion of an investigation by the Department of Community and Employment Protection, BHPB and the man's employer, contracting company MacMahon Holdings.The specific operation was undisclosed.
