Description
Abstract
Exploration area of Galujeh is located in 35 km from north of Zanjan year in 1382 during the regional geochemical exploration, Hashtjin sheet is identified as a area with a potential of gold and paragenesis elements was introduced to explore Anumi (1:20,000).
General exploration operations, including geological maps of mineral, geochemical studies of samples based on alluvial and heavy mineral and drilling of trenches and removal of mineralized samples which has been done in a the area of 70 km2.
A) X = 255317.89, Y = 4098465.68 Zone: 39
B) X = 255952.71, Y = 4100983.07 Zone: 39
C) X = 264245.30, Y = 4105415.30 Zone: 39
D) = 264255.88, Y = 4108721.91 Zone: 39
H) X = 255917.89, Y = 1098249.85 Zone: 39
I) X = 266069.59, Y = 4110821.92 Zone: 39
K) X = 2684.3.28, Y = 4110815.35 Zone: 39
The above exploration results identified at least 25 mineral veins in several areas that carat of gold in some samples taken from the veins with over 24.5 g/ton with other economic minerals including chalcopyrite, galena, sphalerite, cerussite, hemi-Morphite , Kovelite and others.
Mineralization mechanism of gold in the region is hydrothermal veins type with Stokes Verk texture (fissure filling) and replacement mineralization that has been formed in lithologic units of Eocene rock of the type of volcanic andesite, basalt, acidic tuff and ignimbrite. Geochemical studies shows a strong correlation between copper minerals, especially gold with copper minerals especially in Rasht Abad Dare and copper deposits of Rasht Abad with ore deposits lead, zinc, silver, barium, arsenic and fluorite and arsenic in areas of west of Rasht ore deposits (North-East of Agh Kand Village) and catchment area of north of the Galujeh Village and the area of Dare Ghezel Ughush.
From total of 98 samples of stone which is taken from the veins and mineralized zones as chip sample, three samples above 0.5 g /ton, 5 samples over one to two grams/ton, 2 samples to 4g /ton, two samples between 4 and 5g/ton and two samples between 5 to 13.1 g/ton have gold. or From total of 61 samples which are taken from trenches, 3.3 % of them (2 samples) over 0.5 to one gram, 15 percent (9 sample) over 0.5 to one gram, 15 percent (9 samples) 1 to 2 grams, 7 percent (4 samples) over 3 to 5 g/ton, 6.5 percent (4 samples) between 5 to 10 grams and 3.3 percent (2 samples) 10 to 24.5 g/ton have gold.
Studies of heavy minerals shows publishing of gold-free in the channels of the northern village of Glujeh is over (12 samples) with cinnabar (14 samples) in addition to the minerals galena, Sphalerite, hemi morphite, cerussite, barite and Flourite which are paragenesis of epithermal gold and publishing and comprehensive compliance with area of publishing and gold elemental anomalies. The region has two types of topography. In southern half of exploration region, the topography of surface area is smooth and waterway system is a channel to the Zanjan River and watershed basin is leading a semi-North has impassable topography and has only one river in Abad Rasht basin that height difference is about 1000 meters in North East to join Ghezel Ozan River basin. Such topography condition results in progression of the level of erosion, and appearance of scattered indices and especially Rasht Abad in two sides of Rasht River side and mineralizations from carat aspect is richer than southern mid of exploration region which due to lack of progression, parts of South mid is still intact and are remained hidden.
results of current exploration show that Glujeh area has high potential for mineralization for gold, copper, lead and zinc that are needed, particularly exploration programs in areas of north of Glujeh, West of Rasht Abad ore deposit t and area of Dare of Ghezel Youghush and several streaks scattered in the region which have high potential for gold mineralization.
Geological studies
General Geology region
Geological position
the studied area is a part of the sheet of 1:100,000 of Hashtjin which is a part of Alborz - Azerbaijan structural zone in tectonical unit and is located in southern side of Alborz.
Land morphology
The area is elevated and mountainous. Tallest point of that is in northeast, over 2600 meters and the lowest is in the southwest that has 1300 meters height from sea level. Ghezel Ozan river which is regarded as important morphological symbol flows from NW to SE. Ghezel Ozan valley is also the process of same river. This river through its way has been crossed the lands along both sides so much so sometimes height of two walls reaches to over a few hundreds of meters.
Stratigraphy
Oldest existed ore deposits are limestones of Mobarak Formation of Carboniferous age, which is in northeast and has small outcrop can be seen from that. Also Quternary are belonged to the Permian deposits with spillitic lava which have outcrop at the end of northeast. Totally they form Paleozoic deposits rocks.
Stones during Mesozoic often have limestone which is belonged to Jurassic and Cretaceous systems. Outcrop of these deposit rocks is also little and they are exposd more in north east.
The Large part of region is covered by Cenozoic ore deposits. These stones that most of them are belonged to Eocene system, are begun with conglomerate and limestone and then it is followed by volcanic rocks and are covered by volcanoclastics. The Lavas have more andesitic to andesitic basalts composition. But they accompany rarely older rocks such as dacite and dacite andesite of this series. The stones belonging to oligocene system? have volcanic and intermediate to acidic composition.
Neogene: deposit rocks of this rock are mainly sedimentary and belonged to the shallow seas. These deposit rocks which have more exposure in southwest are a row of marl, sandstone and conglomerate.
Magmatism
As it was expressed in stratigraphy topic, Eocene and Oligocene rocks system?are composed of volcanic rocks. So in this period of time, volcanic activities in this region is vigorous like other areas of the Alborz - Azerbaijan structural zone and during operation of late alpine, various intrusive masses with composition of quartz-monzonite, granodiorite and granite have been replaced as different types in Eocene - Oligocene rocks?.
