Due to restrictions on agricultural and industrial development in East Iran, industry could have special place in development of this region. Hence following of potential mineral complex of Deh Salam has been done in frame of potential of geology in South Khorasan Province.
Due to restrictions on agricultural and industrial development in East Iran, industry could have special place in development of this region. Hence following of potential mineral complex of Deh Salam has been done in frame of potential of geology in South Khorasan Province. During the preliminary following investigation it was indicated that one of the considered cases in metamorphic complex of Deh Salam is Garnet – bearing sediments which have been formed in Plaser reservoirs in the region. These Garnets are type of almandine and is used a lot in industry for example hydrojet systems, water retreatment and abrasive s. Therefore, the value of this mineral material is plan of preliminary exploration project of Deh Salam Garnet. Based on this plan, the area containing garnet, are following and in areas containing a limited number of exploratory wells are drilled and sampling were done from them. Results showed that full-scale survey to determine the expansion rate and save amount and carat of mineral material needs to more explorations. Thus a detailed exploration plan of Garnet of Deh Salam was defined and carried out defined and results in this report are presented in five chapters. In the first chapter Deh Salam complex has been introduced. Then the position and geology of zones containing garnets has been mentioned in the second. In the third chapter describes of the operation has been brought and in Chapter four results of carats and estimation of reservoirs have been conducted. Deh Salam complex
in south of Khorasan province and in East of Lut Desert, a series of igneous rocks, metamorphic and sedimentary complexes are which are called Deh Salam Complex. This stone set with not too high morphology has been separated from the surrounding plains. Complex of Deh Salam is located in west of Nehbandan Province and North-East of Deh Salam village between latitude of’31 ˚ 17 ΄ - 31 ˚ 32 ΄ N and lengths of 59˚ 24 ΄ - 59 ° 41 ΄ E with an area of approximately three hundred square kilometers. Village of Chah Dashy in North East and Deh Salam is located in south west. Access to the area is through the main road of Zahedan - Mashhad and the asphalt way of Nehbandan Province to villages of Chah Dashy and Deh Salam is possible. Trail of this road is constructing at the present time from Deh Salam to Shahdad and Kerman .
Deh Salam complex distance to Deh Salam is 30 km and 60 km to Nehbandan. Region has hot and dry weather from climate standpoint and with desert weather and in mountain part the climate is a bit more temperate. There are no permanent rivers in the region and in winter seasonal river, Salt River in East of region and Deh Salam in the West of region are flowing. Drinking water of this region is supplied from wells and gullies. Groundwater of the zone has high hardness and salt to bitter taste. Groundwater level is 5 to 50 meters, but due to the low-porosity of sediments, discharges of wells are low. Seasonal winds as 120-day of Sistan causes sand dunes in around flat plains. Temperature difference between Night and day because of desert conditions is 20 to 30 ° C. From the perspective of the geographic the area is a part of Lut. very scattered population distribution in the region and because of rural migration to near cities results in low population growth. Most of the villages are away from each other and nearest village to Deh Salam Village has a population with 50 inhabitants. Most of these villages are located in sidehill of mountain sor gate of aqueducts and around of fresh water wells. Almost all people job is agriculture, wheat and barley and palm tree nurtury and husbandry, breeding of camels and goats.
