Highlighting and Identifying of Gavkhoni playa Northern Axis Pediments with Landsat Satellite Images
Abstract:
The Pediments are reckoned one of the accumulative form of dry domains that have developed in the vicinity of playas or the same closed holes during rainy and dry periods of the Quaternary .Using the Remote sensing and Landsat satellite images analysis ,this paper has,for the ۱st time ,dealt with highlighting and separating these geomorphological domains on the northern axis of Gavkhoni playa and has discussed the key role of Landsat satellite images in the differentiation of these diversified domain and facies evisiting on their bed (wind facies,river facies and lake fasies )while introducing the best mixes and methods of highlighting this domain .
