Abstract
Nowadays,thermal springs are very important from economic,geology medician and tourism point of views. Thermal spring of Ziarat is the unique thermal water of <?xml:namespace prefix = st۱ ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Golestan۱:PlaceName> Province۱:PlaceType>۱:place>, which is undergone chemical & isotopic studies for determi-
nation of its properties and origin as well as its potential for other applications.
This water spring with annual deby of about ۵۲ lit/sec . and mean temperature of ۳۰۰c has hydrochemistry facies in limit of Na+Cl- and Na+HCO۳- . Dominated cation is sodium while dominated anion is chloride.
Hydrochemistry properties and geothermometery of this spring indicate that feed system and input to reserviour are scatter and dispersive while output system is conduit and underpressure. The origin of this spring is not hydrothermal and its high temperature is due to thermal gradient.
Istopic studies reveals that the origin of water is not old and traces of new precipitation is very low. The feeding of this springs is from precipitation of highest part of watershed. The flowage occur at depth and is not related to surrounding springs.
