Nowadays, the significance and role of remote sensing in the environmental studies are clearly eminent; remote sensing as a superior technology, has enhanced the capability of geology researchers and specially of the geomorphologists. Characteristics such as satellite data digital and discrete nature, data multi- spectrality, enjoying images horizontal and vertical view recording of the phenomena repetatire and regular information presence of informative time series expanded and large viewing range globality (World extensiveness) images photomozaic and connection possibility access to hard - to - pass regions via these images preparation of  information layers etc are all reckoned privileges of satellite images for the geomorphologic studies.

Geomorphology is the science of the earth features each discussion of which can make use of satellite images and digital information with the power of various time – space and local resolution depending on specifications such as landforms objective and type of study and survey, etc.

In this article, we have dealt with the key role of satellite images in analysis and interpretation and reconstruction of geomorphologic domains in the Quaternary environments.
