Abstract
The examination of data acquired from the Satellite images of the Mishoo Fault, as a segment of major North Tabriz Fault in the northwest of Iran and the study of data acquired from other sources such as the geological, topographical and ِgeomagnetic maps of the area provide several significant evidences on the structural and kinematical characteristics of the North Tabriz Fault and its neotectonic and morphotectonic activity in the area of Mishoo mountains. The study and analysis of these evidences reveal that movements on the North Mishoo Fault are taken place generally as right lateral strike-slip, with a dip-slip reverse movement, and the formation and evolution of the most of the local morphological features results from the neotectonic and morphotectoonic activity of the North Mishoo Fault.
