Sydney-based ADV Group is confident of building on its recently announced interim JORC compliant resource estimate following the release of another round of drill results from the Jabal Sayid copper-zinc project in Saudi Arabia.ADV Group said the new drill results from three separate drill holes had bettered target expectations in the company’s program of expanding the sulphide mineralisation at Zone 2 within the Jabal Sayid project.ADV – which is currently buying into the Jabal Sayid project and other Saudi Arabian mineral prospects – recently announced a maiden interim JORC compliant resource of 46.2 million tonnes, including 828,000 tonnes of contained copper and 87,000 tonnes of contained zinc.Commenting on the results from the Zone 2 follow-up drilling, Vertex / Bariq CEO Inés Scotland said the results supported the company’s targets of growing the quantum of mineralisation and increasing confidence in the categorisation of the mineralisation when revising the current Interim JORC resource estimate.“It is in these areas of Zone 2 and Zone 1 that we are continuing to see the extent to which the JORC resource will grow,” Ms Scotland said.“Our technical team positioned these holes as to gather information to fill some of the gaps in our knowledge and in the current JORC resource. “These positive results will go into growing the resource to our target of 100 to 150 million tonnes,” she said. ADV Group said it expects to have an updated JORC compliant resource completed later this year, which will include these latest drill results and assays still to come from other completed drill holes.Highlights of the latest results from the three drill holes BDH-2015, BDH-2016 and BDH-2017 included BDH-2015, with 51m at 3.15% Cu, 0.29 g/t Au, 28.3 g/t Ag and 0.46% Zn, BDH-2016, with 66m at 2.27% Cu, 0.37 g/t Au and 23.5 g/t Ag, and BDH-2017, with 87m at 2.36% Cu, 0.42 g/t Au and 10.7 g/t Ag.ADV Group Director, Fletcher Quinn said drill hole BDH-2017, which was located 80m to the north of the current resource outline, extended the mineralisation boundary to the north and supports planned drilling further to the east and north.“Drill hole BDH-2015, which was designed to close off the Zone 2 mineralisation to the south, returned an outstanding result which will require follow up,” Mr Quinn said.“All intersections were above the average grade of the JORC Compliant Resource in Zone 2 and assays confirm the presence of significant gold and silver credits,” he said.
