  Central Asia Resources has intersected further gold mineralisation, including a previously unknown zone of mineralisation along strike and at depth, following a recent drilling program at its Kengir gold prospect in Kazakhstan.The drilling program at the Kengir gold prospect, designed to test the depth and strike extension of the main mineralised gold, has intersected gold mineralisation along 600m of strike and to approximately 145m in down-hole depth in a series of separate zones. Central Asia has scheduled drilling to resume during October to infill between the eastern and north eastern flank positions (between zone 2 and zone 3) to investigate the continuation of these structures. The Kengir prospect has an existing JORC compliant Inferred resource totalling 1.4 million tonnes grading 1.7g/t for 77,000 ounces. These diamond drill results have identified further extensions along strike and at depth to the Kengir resource, and show an increase in the grade of these zones at depth, with the potential to increase the existing resource tonnage and ounces.Central Asia CEO, Kevin Malaxos said the results from the Kengir drilling program increased the company’s confidence in the region as, with zone 3 in particular outside of the expected highly prospective and structurally controlled area and therefore holding the potential to increase the size of the current resource. “Kengir was identified as one of our high priority exploration areas, in addition to the Kepken and Altyn-tas prospects, and these recent results have proven our confidence in the prospect,” Mr Malaxos said.
