TNG delineates new deposit at Manbarrum

Perth-based resource company TNG Limited has added further weight to the emerging potential of its 100%-owned Manbarrum Zinc-Lead-Silver Project in the Northern Territory to host multiple deposits after reporting further significant drilling results from the Djibitgun Prospect, located 17km northeast of its existing Sandy Creek resource.TNG said the results received from RC drilling completed last year at Djibitgun had confirmed the presence of an extensive zone of mineralisation extending over a strike length of at least 1km and with a minimum width of 200m.“Significantly, the mineralisation has not been closed off on several drill traverses, which indicates the potential to continue to extend the deposit with further drilling,” TNG’s Managing Director, Neil Biddle said.“The results we have received indicate the potential to delineate a sizeable zinc-lead-silver deposit at Djibitgun alongside the existing resource at Sandy Creek,” he said. The drilling returned best intersections of 9m @ 2.64% Zn+Pb, 53.22 g/t Ag from 102m; 10m @ 8.75% Zn+Pb, 61.30 g/t Ag from 59m; 5m @ 3.86% Zn+Pb, 19.20 g/t Ag from 68m; and 7m @ 3.22% Zn+Pb, 12.57 g/t Ag from 41m.The zinc-lead mineralisation occurs within an envelope of extensive near-surface silver mineralisation, with best results including 9m @ 53.22 g/t Ag from 102m, 10m @ 61.3 g/t Ag from 59m, and 17m @ 35.65 g/t from 15m.Mr Biddle said the latest results provided further strong confirmation of TNG’s geological model for the Manbarrum Project to host multiple large tonnage deposits typical of Mississippi Valley Type (MVT) base metal deposits in Missouri, USA and parts of Irish Style MVT deposits.“Work will begin shortly on an initial resource estimate for Djibitgun as we enter an important period for the company with the resource upgrade on the Sandy Creek deposit currently nearing completion,” he said. The current resource estimate for Sandy Creek, which covers a deposit strike length of some 480m, comprises 10.5 million tonnes, grading 3.4% zinc equivalent and 5.7 g/t silver.
