It is worth noting that the Council at the Energy, Mine and Environment Committee thanked the Geological Survey of Iran for holding the eighth meeting of mineral experts group of eco member states in Isfahan and called on the member states to follow up the results of the meeting through their proposals to implement decisions in providing the appropriate context for the next MEGM meeting.

It should be noted that the Council at the Committee on Human Resources and Sustainable Development welcomed the proposal of the Geological Survey of Iran entitled Landslide Risk Zonation of ECO Member States (LHZ) sponsored by the Member States at the 2022 Validation Meeting, and called on Iran and the ECO Secretariat to cooperate in providing joint financing and commissioning of the project during 2023.

On the other hand, other Member States were invited to support the successful launch and implementation of the project, and the approvals were included in the executive calendar of the 33rd meeting of the ECO Regional Planning Council for 2023. The Regional Planning Council meets once a year in the presence of the Eco Secretary General, ambassadors of ten member states, heads of eco specialized agencies and representatives from ten member states, and is responsible for tasks such as formulating practical plans for achieving the organization's goals and reviewing past plans.
